Why This Foundation Exists

Built for Eternity.
Not for This World.

Mutah Beale lost his parents young. He could not give them what he wanted to give them while they were here. But Islam gave him something profound: the understanding that deeds continue after death - that a son can still earn reward for his parents long after they are gone.

The Mutah Beale Foundation is that act of love made permanent. Every prayer prayed in every masjid this foundation builds flows back as sadaqah jariyah - ongoing reward for the people he lost and for every donor who made it possible.

But the vision extends beyond one family and one city. Across the Muslim world, communities exist without mosques. Believers practice their deen in makeshift spaces, drive hours to the nearest Friday prayer, raise children without the anchor of a proper Islamic community. The Foundation exists to change that - one masjid at a time, in the places the world has forgotten.

The Bigger Picture

One Masjid Changes
Everything Around It

A mosque is not just a building. It is the spiritual nervous system of a community.

Worship

A permanent, dignified place for five daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and Eid - rooted in Quran and Sunnah.

Education

Quran classes, Islamic studies, and Arabic education for children and adults who have had nowhere to learn.

Community

A meeting place for Muslim families - new and lifelong - to build real brotherhood and sisterhood where none existed before.

New Muslims

A home for those who have just entered Islam and need guidance, belonging, and a community to grow in their deen.

Our Mission

Building Sacred Spaces
for Communities That Have
Waited Long Enough

The Mutah Beale Foundation exists to build Islamic infrastructure in underserved Muslim communities - places where the ummah is present but the resources are not.

We believe every Muslim community deserves a permanent, dignified place to worship - a masjid that serves as the spiritual anchor of family, education, and community life.

Our first project is the Mayagüez Masjid in Puerto Rico. It will not be the last.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

"The mosques of Allah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, perform As-Salat, and give Zakat, and fear none but Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance."

Quran 9:18

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

01

Rooted in Quran & Sunnah

Every project we build is grounded in authentic Islamic principles. We build not for show, but for worship - in the way that pleases Allah.

02

Community First

We go where the ummah needs us most. Underserved communities without proper Islamic infrastructure are our priority.

03

Full Transparency

Every dollar donated is accounted for. We will publish annual financial reports, share construction updates, and are accountable to our donors and to Allah.

04

Sadaqah Jariyah Focus

We build for eternity. Every structure we raise is designed to generate continuous reward for its builders and donors long after they leave this world.

05

Long-Term Vision

The Mayagüez Masjid is just the beginning. Our vision is a network of thriving Muslim communities across underserved regions.

06

Open to All

Our masjids are welcoming to all Muslims regardless of background, madhab, or origin - and open to non-Muslims curious about Islam.

Leadership

The Team Behind
the Foundation

Dedicated individuals committed to building a legacy that outlasts all of us.

The Vision

Mayagüez Is Just
the Beginning

The Mutah Beale Foundation's long-term vision is a network of thriving masjids and Islamic centers across underserved communities in the Caribbean, Latin America, and beyond - places where Muslims have been living without the infrastructure to fully practice and pass on their deen.

When the Mayagüez Masjid opens, it becomes proof that this is possible. And then we build the next one. And the one after that. Every prayer, every child taught, every soul guided - that is the compounding reward of this work.
