Donation Refund Policy

The Mutah Beale Foundation is grateful for every donation we receive. This policy describes our approach to donation refunds. We strive to handle all refund requests with fairness, transparency, and in accordance with our obligation to the donors and the mission.

General Policy

All donations to the Mutah Beale Foundation are generally non-refundable once processed, as they are used to fund the construction of the Mayagüez Masjid and associated program costs. However, we recognize that exceptional circumstances may warrant a refund.

When Refunds May Be Granted

Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate donation: If a donor accidentally submits two identical donations within a 24-hour period, the duplicate will be refunded.
• Unauthorized transaction: If a donation was made without the account holder's authorization (fraud), we will work with our payment processor to investigate and issue a refund.
• Technical error: If a technical error caused an incorrect amount to be charged, we will correct the error.
• Within 24 hours: Refund requests submitted within 24 hours of the original donation may be honored at our discretion, provided the funds have not yet been allocated.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us within 7 days of the donation date:

• Subject line: "Refund Request - [Your Name] - [Donation Date]"
• Include: Your full name, email address, donation amount, and reason for the refund request.

We will respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.

Recurring Donations

You may cancel a recurring (monthly) donation at any time by contacting us at info@mutahbealefoundation.org. Cancellation will take effect for the next scheduled charge. We cannot refund charges that have already been processed, but we will cancel all future charges immediately upon your request.

Tax Considerations

If a refund is issued, you will receive a corrected donation receipt for your tax records. You are responsible for adjusting any tax deductions claimed based on the corrected amount.

Processing Time

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days and will be returned to the original payment method used.
